Stuffed Shells Recipe
These creamy stuffed shells are loaded with four cheeses. This quick, easy stuffed shells recipe can be done in about an hour.
- 8 oz nonfat ricotta cheese
- 4 oz reduced-fat cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded skim mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 12 jumbo shells, cooked
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, cream cheese, mozzarella, egg, black pepper, garlic and parsley.
- 2. Using a teaspoon, spoon mixture into cooked jumbo shells.
- 3. Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce on the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese.
- 4. Place shells, open side up, into baking dish and pour remaining marinara sauce on top. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Let stand for 4 minutes before serving.
